Boop is on a mission to eliminate unnecessary waste in the beauty sector.

Millions of beauty products are destroyed each year by manufacturers and retailers!

Are Boop's products authentic?

Boop only ever retails authentic products by sourcing directly from brands.

How do I know my products will be high quality and safe to use?

We inspect each product and we only sell products which are new, unopened and safe for use. Items you buy on Boop could have one or more of these qualities:

  • damaged external packaging (as long as the internal product is unimpacted)
  • customer returns
  • slow-moving and excess stock
  • out-of-season stock
  • obsolete stock and old formulations
  • quality control discrepancies (shape, colour, texture, size)
  • printing errors
  • incomplete sets
  • nearing end of shelf-life

Each product page will detail its flaws under its ‘Product Condition’ section. We always make sure the actual product you use is high quality – it’s what’s on the inside that counts!

Returns & Refunds

Can I return an item purchased from Boop?

You have 14 days from the date of receiving your item to start a return. We accept returns for all orders, but unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of products which:

  1. are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons;
  2. are opened, used or seals have been opened after delivery;
  3. have been clearly personalised (such as by being engraved); or
  4. by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

This doesn't affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described.

How do I make a return?

To return an item and receive a refund, please get in touch with us via our Contact Us page and provide us with your order number. We’ll then respond within 72 hours to process your return.

Once my return has been confirmed, when can I expect my refund?

Once we receive your return, we will inspect it to confirm it is eligible for return in line with our returns policy. Following this, your refund should be returned to you within 14 days after the day on which we receive the item. Please retain proof of postage of your return!

If you have returned the product to us because they are faulty (in addition to any faults described on our site at the time of purchase) or not as described, we will examine the product as quickly as possible. If the non-compliant nature of the product is confirmed by us, we will refund the price of the product in full, together with the delivery charges charged to you for delivery and return (as detailed on our site).

If you have returned the product to us because you have changed your mind or we find that the product is not faulty (other than any faults described on our site at the time or purchase) or we confirm that the returned product is as described, then we will refund the price of the product in full but we will not refund any delivery charges.

We will refund you using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise We may withhold refunds until we have received the products back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the products, whichever is earliest.

Recycling

What items can I recycle kerbside at home?

You can recycle any packaging that is labelled as recyclable at home or widely recyclable.

Some products may consist of components which can be recycled (e.g. glass containers) as well as components which must be disposed of separately in general waste (e.g. pumps not get made of recyclable material or mirrors). Be sure to disassemble the relevant components and dispose of them appropriately!

The following plastic types can generally be recycled at home – but please refer to the product packaging for accurate guidance: 1 (PET), 2 (HPDE) and 5 (PP).

Can I send my used items to Boop to recycle?

We’re working on it! The personal care and beauty industry produces more than 120 billion units of packaging every year globally. While we don’t have a scheme in place yet, we’re working hard to make one available to Boop customers.

Expiration Dates

Do beauty products have expiration dates?

There are two guidelines which help you understand how long your beauty product will last:

  • a shelf life
  • a ‘Period After Opening’ guide

Products have a shelf life, which determines how long these products can be left unopened and ‘on the shelf’ for. The shelf life varies from product to product but usually ranges between 3 to 7 years from production. All products will eventually lose their efficacy over time – and certain products, such as SPFs and those containing active ingredients, won’t perform optimally past a certain period.

Boop assess the production date of each product alongside the product type to determine if products are still appropriate for consumers to buy.

All cosmetic products are stamped with a ‘Period After Opening’ symbol. This is an image of an open jar containing a number and the letter ‘M’. The expiration dates are guidelines for after the product has been opened. So ‘12M’ means the product will expire 6 months after opening.

As a general guide, cosmetics have the following expiration dates from opening:

  • foundation and concealer: 12 – 18 months
  • mascara and eyeliner: 6 months
  • lipstick and lip gloss: 12 – 24 months
  • creams and serums: 12 – 18 months
  • shampoos, conditioners and hair care products: 12 – 18 months
  • powder products: 12 – 18 months

After you place your order, you’ll get a confirmation email. We will then send you another email as soon as your order is on the way.

If you miss the delivery, your parcel may have been left somewhere safe, such as with a neighbour or at a local depot. The courier should leave a courier card letting you know if they attempted delivery.
